Custom Pool Pros LLC is a premier luxury pool and outdoor living company serving New Jersey. We specialize in designing and building custom swimming pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, pavilions, retaining walls, and complete backyard transformations. We are currently seeking a full-time, in-office Landscape & Outdoor Living Designer to join our growing team in Freehold, NJ.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about designing exceptional outdoor spaces. This individual should be self-motivated, communicate effectively with clients, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have an eye for both design and marketing.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual site plans and base maps from surveys and property information.
- Design custom swimming pools, patios, outdoor living spaces, planting plans, and landscape enhancements.
- Prepare professional 2D and 3D renderings using industry-leading design software.
- Conduct in-person and virtual design presentations with prospective and existing clients.
- Create construction-ready layouts and assist with project planning.
- Coordinate material selections, ordering, and installation logistics.
- Work closely with the sales, construction, and project management teams throughout the design and installation process.
- Perform on-site measurements, layout verification, and design consultations.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients throughout the design and construction process.
- Assist with estimating and preparing project proposals.
- Capture project progress, completed projects, and behind-the-scenes content for marketing purposes.
- Collaborate with our marketing team by contributing design renderings, project photography, videos, and ideas for social media, website content, and advertising campaigns.
- Represent Custom Pool Pros professionally at home shows, networking events, community functions, and other marketing opportunities.

Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Architecture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in landscape, pool, or outdoor living design.
- Strong understanding of landscape design principles, grading, drainage, and site planning.
- Knowledge of hardscape materials including pavers, natural stone, retaining walls, coping, outdoor kitchens, fire features, lighting, and other outdoor living products.
- Experience designing custom swimming pools is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Pool Studio, Structure Studios, SketchUp, AutoCAD, PRO Landscape, Dynascape, or similar design software.
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube is a plus.
- Comfortable photographing projects, recording short videos, and collaborating on marketing initiatives.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Professional appearance and ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
